Community development volunteers are engaged in a number of projects conservation, teaching, building and sports projects to medical, women support and youth empowerment projects.
There are many ways in which community development volunteers could spend their time, as well as their skills, to help out in Uganda. Depending on the season, we always have a list of much needed services of volunteers within our projects around Uganda.
The timetable you travel and the projects you may be involved with during community development volunteering Uganda placement are all geared to your skills and interests, and the community’s needs.
We facilitate volunteer placements for individual solo travelers and groups, for a minimum of one week and we can secure the placement within two days of receiving your inquiry. We offer volunteer programs that will either utilize skills you hold already or give opportunity to learn new skills.
Through our community development volunteering program, we are committed to enabling skill transfer, enabling projects in Uganda to access different skill sets and to helping volunteers realize the value they can add using the skills they hold.
We will match your skills and expectations with those of your host project to ensure your placement is a professionally, as well as a personally, rewarding experience. -
- We want every volunteer to feel that their time in Uganda was put to good use and that they had adequate time to make an impact. The preferred length of trip for a volunteer’s first visit is 8 -12 weeks. Although we do not strictly prohibit shorter stays, we do request that our volunteers are able to offer at least one month of voluntary services. Occasionally we will allow for a shorter stay than one month, but this is handled on a case by case basis.

Mukono (Central, Uganda)
- This community development volunteering Uganda program, will take you to the heart of Uganda where you get involved in meaningful volunteer work. We ask volunteers interested in the Uganda volunteer work to commit at least twelve weeks (3 months) in order to ensure a worthwhile experience. But we accept volunteers from a minimum of 4 weeks’ duration.
