    The purpose of our Uganda construction volunteering project is not only to help build infrastructure but to also build lives. From renovating a rundown school or classroom to helping improve clean water access with safe and hygienic harvest tanks, springs, the work of our teams and our partners really does make a difference to people’s lives in Uganda.

    The construction and building volunteering project Uganda is great for everyone aged 18 to 55+! You don’t need any previous building experience, though you should be physically fit and willing to work hard in order to partake on these volunteering projects in Uganda. Ssamba Foundation’s building projects in Uganda really allow volunteers to be immersed in the host community. Volunteers work with locals to make sure these projects get completed and match the needs of the people they’re benefiting.

  • Although certain projects often present unique needs and challenges, there are several core areas (and corresponding activities) you will likely find yourself contributing to at some point during your service as a Ssamba Foundation Construction Volunteer in Uganda: Site Preparation (demolition, digging foundations, clearing rubble, etc.), Building (Mixing and pouring concrete, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, etc.), or Community Beautification (planting trees, landscaping, community cleanups, painting murals, etc.). Whatever your interest, rest assured you’ll get your hands dirty from the start!

We ask volunteers interested in the Uganda volunteer work to commit at least twelve weeks (3 months) in order to ensure a worthwhile experience.
